Description

Summary: In production since the early '30s, the D-28 remains to be the benchmark acoustic guitar. The D-28 has gone through a number of changes over the decades, but modern D-28s remain very similar in design to their predecessors. Like all mid- to high-end Martins, the D-28 is built in the Martin factory in Nazareth, PA. This fabulous Martin ships with the original molded hard-shell case with green interior.

Body: This beautiful Dreadnought guitar has all solid Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, and a stunning multi-stripe back inlay.

Neck: Neck is solid mahogany with a white heel-cap, ebony fretboard with pearl dots, and a bone nut. Nut Width-1 11/16”. Scale Length-25 ½”.

Pickups/Hardware: Ebony bridge with a bone saddle. Has closed back chrome Grover tuning machines, lovely white pearl dot inlays, multi-ply binding on the top & back.

Cosmetics: This Martin guitar looks absolutely fabulous. It has a few small dings on the body and very little signs of playwear on the frets.

Playability: An outstanding instrument with classic sound and wonderful playability. This D-28 feels fantastic up and down the fingerboard and has been strung up with a new set of 12’s.
