Description

What an absolutely gorgeous instrument! This 1952 D-28 was converted to D-45 specs by Mike Longworth, in 1961, long before he went on to an illustrious career at Martin. Mike was commissioned by Country Music Hall of Famer and Grand Ole Opry member Charlie Louvin- at the very height of Charlie's career. Charlie went on to perform and record with this guitar for decades and it became synonymous with Charlie to his many fans. On the inside of the guitar Mike Longworth attached a hand written paper label as well as a Longworth stamp. This guitar received the very highest degree of craftsmanship, detail, and ornamentation possible. This is a piece of music history. $30,000.
