Before Martin came out with their standard production Authentic Series guitars, they made a very small number of exact replicas of a 1941 D-28 that they have on display in their museum in Nazareth, PA. They were priced at $12,000, and the run was cut short at only thirty-eight pieces, no more to be made. Here is a pristine example of that limited run, in virtually dead-mint condition, barely ever touched.
