Up for sale is a clean and near mint 2021 Limited Edition Martin D-35 David Gilmour 6 String, # 200 of 250 in Natural. This instrument came from a Martin employee and looks as though it was lightly played, if played at all. Comes complete with its original hard case, hang tag and leather case candy. Back in the early ‘70s, David Gilmour was only at the precipice of superstardom when he happened upon a musician selling a used Martin D-35 outside of Manny’s Music shop in New York City. Gilmour purchased the guitar on the spot, and it would go on to become his primary studio acoustic for both Pink Floyd and his solo recordings for more than four decades. The now famed D-35 sold recently at Christie’s Auction House for $1.2 million as part of The David Gilmour Guitar Collection, which comprised over 120 guitars and fetched more than $21 million. The proceeds from the auction went to ClientEarth, a charitable foundation dedicated to fighting climate change.
After the auction and sale of Gilmour’s cherished D-35, our partners at Westside Distribution in the UK approached David and he agreed to collaborate with the team on both a 6-string and 12-string custom signature artist edition. Much like David’s music, these guitars are unique and inspirational pieces of art that we hope will inspire others to create their own art. We will produce a total of 250 guitars, split between the 6-string and 12-string models and through this partnership, we are proud to support the David Gilmour Charitable Foundation.

We offer a 48 hour approval period on all guitars, amplifiers, and pedals from the date of purchase for in store transactions or date of delivery for internet orders. This approval period is for the buyer to make sure that the instrument is in the condition and originality we advertised. If a return is requested because the buyer simply doesn’t like the way an instrument plays, sounds or other personal preferences we reserve the right to deduct a 10% restocking fee at our sole discretion. In the event of any return the buyer pays all shipping and insurance costs, both to and from, as well as any other fees associated with the transaction. In the event a return is requested on an item prior to shipment or delivery a 10% restocking fee will be deducted at our sole discretion. All returns must be approved by phone or email and must be returned in the exact condition they left our store. Any item returned not in the same condition it left our store is subject to a 20% restocking fee at our sole discretion. For logistical reasons we are unable to accept returns on any transaction involving a trade, both in store and online. Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned at customer's expense.
