Scalloped bracing, herringbone, sunburst...what's not to love? Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony board and bridge. This fine mid-90s HD is quite clean and structurally excellent but it does have a couple of minor cosmetic issues. First, there is some chipping of the finish around the bridge, appears to be in the clear final lacquer coat as it hasn't affected the color of the top at all, don't know if the bridge was reglued at some point. It is solid now, but look closely at the bridge close up pics to see the finish chips. Also, on the lower treble bout of the top in the darkest part of the burst there is a small halo where the color is a tone lighter than the surrounding dark area, don't know what that is about either as the finish seems fine and there is no evidence that it was ever messed with after manufacture. I think it may well have come from the factory that way. Anyway, other than those two cosmetic issues the guitar is very clean. There are no cracks or damage anywhere, there is a strap pin added to the heel. The neck is straight under tension and the truss rod works properly. 1 11/16" nut with 2 1/8" string spacing. Currently set up with action at 7/64" at 6/64" with a proud 1/8" of saddle showing under tension of light gauge strings. It's got the big, boomy voice you'd expect from a 1/4" scalloped brace dread. Comes with a non-original Martin hardshell case. $2700 + shipping, NY buyers add 8% sales tax.

Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned.
