This is a uniquely powerful instrument with a 27.5” scale length, and a 17” wide 4 7/8” deep grand jumbo body that is tuned down to B or C. Has a Sitka Spruce top with herring bone trim, 5/16” scalloped braces and graduated tone bars. The back and sides are book matched Indian Rosewood. The sound hole is a unique triangular shape and the headstock inlay is Pete’s drawing of his banjo in pearl. The nut width is 1 13/16” and the string spacing is 1 3/4” at the 12th fret.
The baritone 12 string is a nod to Leadbelly’s Stella with a crazy rich deep bass that can really help most songwriters and or be a unique stage instrument.
Pete Seeger is famous for playing a long neck banjo and used a baritone 12 string on his Grammy Award winning “At 89” album. This is #58 of only 120 made. It has a real unique look with the triangular sound hole and split pickguard. It has an added LR Baggs pickup added by its previous owner the famous Charlie Parr who you need to listed to for acoustic blues inspiration. A crazy cool and unique C.F.
