Description

Refinished. Made the year the Civil War ended, Tristan und Isolde had its premiere in Munich, and Great Britain celebrated the 28th year of Queen Victoria's reign. A mid-line Martin of the period, 12" wide, 4" deep, 24.5" scale length neck with "ice cream cone" heel, repainted black, original tuners, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, Alpine spruce top (we think), several top cracks repaired long ago, slightly-oversized replaced bridge, fan-braced. Multiple repairs over the last 154 years, all done with respect. Nylon-strung (of course), newer case. Great history and tone.
