Despite the optimistic notice on the Parker website that a 2017 model line will be forthcoming, word at the January winter NAMM show was that Parker Guitars is no more. JAM industries has decided they have more profitable lines to invest in and has retired the Parker brand. That means that used Parker guitars, like the marvelous Fly Deluxe offered here, are all that there will be.
Built in 2006, this "refined era" Fly Deluxe has a Basswood body and a Mahogany neck all reinforced with carbon fiber and finished in black gloss poly. The resulting guitar is incredibly strong, yet very light and has a total weight of just 5.8 pounds. The fretboard is made of a carbon epoxy composite and the frets are stainless steel. It has locking Sperzel tuners and Parkers amazing tremolo system. The pickups include DiMarzio humbuckers with coil splitting and a GraphTech piezo system. The controls include volume, tone and a three-way toggle for the DiMarzios (with the push/pull coil split on the tone control) and a separate volume knob for the piezo along with three way toggle to activate the humbuckers, the piezo, or both together.
This guitar can reproduce almost any tone you can dream up thanks to it's flexible electronics. It is super-easy to play and it's extremely easy on your shoulder. Plus, it is very cool looking! It is currently setup with Elixir Nano .10's and the .10 gauge trem spring.
This guitar is in excellent condition. I've carefully buffed out the finish, but you will find some very light evidence of play in the clear coat if you look very close. There is one tiny pen-tip sized ding in the top near the strap pin (see photo), but you won't find it easily. The virtually impregnable stainless steel are flawless. It comes in a brand new Parker deluxe case with the accessories shown.

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $70 to Eastern time zones, $80 Central and $90 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $120. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
