1994 Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 Orange 10 Top

Summary: The first run of PRS Custom 22 was based on the Dragon platform, offering stoptail or an optional tremolo, but without all of the ornateness found on the Dragon models. This model, as with all PRS guitars, was also offered with a “10-Top” and was slightly updated in 2002 before being discontinued in 2014. This particular guitar has a beautiful orange finish with a 10 top and it comes with a non-original hard-shell case.

Body: Solid body, double cutaway with a mahogany body & a super Orange flame maple cap. This PRS is a “10 Top” as noted on the back of the headstock.

Neck: Wide Fat one piece mahogany glued-in neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, bird inlays, 25” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, old school PRS winged tuning keys.

Pickups/Hardware: Nickel hardware, PRS vintage style winged tuning keys, rare Non-Tremolo model with a stop tail piece, 2 Humbucker pickups, one volume control, one tone control, 5-way rotary pickup selector switch.

Cosmetics: This 1994 PRS is in wonderful condition – I just cleaned it up & the finish is fabulous! The jumbo frets are in great shape & have a lot of life left. There are some small scratches on the back – signs of pick scratches on the top – but overall this baby is in wonderful condition.

Playability: We set this instrument up with 10’s and the action is low & comfortable – the truss rod is fully working & the neck is straight. The jumbo frets are in great shape and don’t show a lot of wear. This instrument plays smooth & easy – like most super nice PRS guitars are known for.

Modifications: The knobs are non-matching and non-original.
