Summary: The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar. This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars’ first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since. This particular PRS is a 20th Anniversary Custom 24 from 2005 with the special “Birds in Flight” inlays, a flame maple 10 top, older style locking tuning keys & tons of tone.
Body: Mahogany solid body with a figured maple cap – this baby is a “10” top and it is finished in vintage yellow.
Neck: Solid mahogany set neck with an East Indian rosewood fingerboard and a wide/thin carve, 24 frets, Birds in Flight inlays – 25” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: Chrome hardware, locking PRS tuning keys, one volume knob, one tone knob, 5-way switch, amber top hat knobs, black plastic tremolo plate & electronics plate. This guitar has the HFS treble & bass pickups.
Cosmetics: This awesome PRS is in great shape and doesn’t show a lot of wear – this baby has been kept in the case & was well taken care of. I did find some lights signs of scratching on the back plate but that was it!
Playability: This guitar plays like butter – smooth and silky all the way up & down the fingerboard! The action is low and the guitar plays with no buzzing or dead spots. We set this instrument up with 10’s and it is ready to be played and loved for years to come….
Weight: 8 lbs, 1 oz.
Case: Original PRS Hardshell Case
