2015 Paul Reed Smith SC Hollowbody II Artist Vintage Yellow
The PRS Hollowbody is one of the most flexible and beautiful guitar designs available at any price (IMHO). Few guitars are more beautifully constructed and can cover as many musical genres. Offered here is a fabulous Singlecut Artist version built in 2015, the 30th anniversary year of Paul Reed Smith Guitars.
The HB II (Flamed Maple used on both the top and back) is a 22 fret, 25" scale guitar and is completely hollow except for a small brace under the bridge of the guitar. This incredible instrument has "Artist" grade (one level above a "10") flame Maple top and back with Mahogany used for the sides. This instrument has an upgraded solid Rosewood neck with PRS' Pattern carve, a nice chunky C shape measuring .88" at the 1st fret increasing to .98" at the 12th fret. The bound fingerboard is made of Black Ebony with a 10" radius, a 1-11/16" nut and fancy multi-color Abalone Bird inlays. The pickups are PRS' very desirable 57/08 humbuckers with piezo elements built into the adjustable stoptail bridge. Controls include a three-way switch for the humbuckers, volume, tone, blend and a three way switch for the piezo system. Light weight PRS locking tuners keep you in tune and make string changes a breeze. With the optional "Artist Package" this guitar gets various other trim upgrades, including hybrid hardware and upgraded case. This instrument has a total weight of just 5 pounds, 14 ounces and is perfectly balanced with no neck dive.
With it's flexible electronics, there isn't much this guitar cannot do. I've seen this guitar model used for everything from jazz to rock to solo singer/songwriter duty. You will not see many "used" guitars in as close to new condition as this PRS. In fact, it does not appear to have been played at all. I'll call it 'near mint' just to be safe, but this guitar could pass for new and the frets are spotless. It comes in its similarly mint Artist grade hardshell case, along with all of the original paperwork and tools.
These hollow guitars are very labor-intensive (and thereby expensive) for PRS to manufacture. A new example with all the upgrades on this guitar will cost you over $6K. Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
