Summary: Peavey made some excellent sounding and playing guitars in the 80s with quality USA craftsmanship and slick designs. This Peavey has a small stable crack at the end of the fingerboard but it has just been inspected, set up and restrung by our in house guitar tech and has been deemed a fantastic instrument that will hold up for many more years like Peaveys are known to do. It ships in its original hard-shell case.

Body: Dark Sunburst solid body double cutaway with high gloss finish and b/w/b pickguard.

Neck: The 25.5” maple neck has black dots, 1.65” nut width, Peavey Trulock tuners and nice tall and wide frets.

Pickups/Hardware: Blade style humbucker in the bridge and 2 blade style single coils in neck and middle. 1 volume, 2 tones, 5 way switch, metal Peavey knobs, triple plated chrome bridge and 6 individually adjustable saddles.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in overall great cosmetic shape but does have a few notable cracks. The 2 piece neck cracked at the end of the heel where the neck tilt was engaged. The neck tilt crew has been disengaged and a wooden shim that fills the width of the heel has been inserted so the crack will not get worse. It is stable and should hold up fine for now on. There is also a crack in the body in the treble side cutaway, pickguard and neck pocket (see pictures). There is a round scratch behind the bridge, it looks like the bridge swung around and left a scratch while someone was changing the strings maybe. Other than that, there are some small dings and dents, pick scratches on the guard, bit of buckle rash, typical things we expect to see on a 40 year old guitar.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with only minor grooves from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard. There is just one spot where the notes choke out only on the D string way up on the fretboard from fret 19 to 21.
