Summary: This is a very rare & incredibly well made vintage Pedulla electric guitar with tons of character & charm. It is apparent that nearly every component on this guitar was meticulously hand made, from the rosewood pickup rings to the brass nut! The maple neck-through-body construction add tons of sustain and the vintage humbuckers are wired with coil splitting switches for endless tonal variety. It has recently been set up with a set of 10’s and it plays great up & down the fingerboard. It comes with in a nice vintage hard-shell case and we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured.

Body: Double cutaway solid maple 3-piece body with rosewood/maple/rosewood stringers. Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer which has aged nicely into a rich amber/yellow color with lots of weather checking.

Neck: Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, pearloid block inlays, 24 frets, 25.5” scale length, 1 9/16” nut width. The headstock has a rosewood overlay with very cool hand etched inlay which reads “Pedulla Orsini guitars Designed Expressly for E.D. Wurlitzer, Inc of Boston”

Pickups/Hardware: Tons of cool hardware on this beautiful guitar. Hand carved rosewood pickguard and pickup rings, “harmonica” tune-o-matic bridge, brass nut, wooden back plate, nickel closed back tuning keys, 1 master volume knob, 2 individual volume and tone knobs for the D’marzio humbucker in the neck and Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge, 2 toggle switches for splitting the coils into single coils and a 3-way switch.

Cosmetics: This instrument shows some normal wear & tear consistent with a well-played but obviously loved and cared for guitar from the 1970’s. There are some light scratches on the back, several chips in the finish, a chip in the edge of the fingerboard by the 13th fret, tons of weather checking in the lacquer, some chips in the lacquer on the headstock overlay, some dings around the edges of the headstock and a lot of pick wear through the cream bobbin of the neck pickup. The corners of the plastic have been totally worn away and there are grooves between the pole pieces. Overall this guitar is in great vintage shape for how much it was played.

Playability: This Pedulla has just been set up with a new set of 10’s and it plays great. The action is low & fingerboard feels great up & down the neck. This instrument does have lots of fret wear up the fingerboard but the guitar still plays great & the notes are all ringing true.

Weight: 8 lbs, 15 oz.

Case: This vintage Pedulla comes with a vintage hard-shell case & we will ship it professionally packaged and fully insured.
