Description

Wow! Talk about an incredible guitar! Offered is this one-of-a-kind PRS Private Stock DGT in Copperhead Burst finish which was built for the 2011 PRS Experience event. The figured mahogany body and curly maple top woods for this beautiful in strument were hand-selected by David Grissom. The neck is made from "Sinker" mahogany and the fingerboard, headstock overlay and tuner buttons are made from highly figured snakewood. 10k gold was used for the fingerboard bird outline inlays, the side dots and the headstock eagle inlay. Gold pickup, bridge and tuner hardware adorns this beautiful instrument. This instrument weighs just 8.2 pounds and is perfectly balanced. The neck carve is PRS' DGT shape which is a chunky C with a 1.656" nut width and depth measurements of approximately .850" to .950". This guitar plays superbly, even with the factory setup and .011" gauge strings. Not surprisingly, the tone is much like that of a (very lightweight, double-cut) Les Paul in both clean and overdrive modes. This instrument has seen only light test play and shows only light evidence thereof, most of which is found on the rear plastic tremolo cavity cover. The frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's original leather Private Stock case along with the gold trem and certificate of authenticity. Nobody makes more beautiful instruments than Paul Reed Smith and these Private Stock models demonstrate the peak of the company's capabilities. Get yourself a piece of playable, sonic artwork with this incredible DGT. An amazing piece......
