Description

I've always found R. Taylor guitars to be something special. Unfortunately, they are not being built right now and perhaps never will be again, making those that are still in circulation particularly special. Offered here is an incredible Style 1 guitar that was built in 2006. This gorgeous instrument has: a beautiful, straight-grained Adirondack Spruce top; back and sides made from one of the finest sets of Madagascar Rosewood you are likely to see; modified X bracing; lovely green/violet Abalone rosette; Ebony binding and backstrip; a sleekly-shaped tropical Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard; 25.5" scale length; 1.75" bone nut; 2 3/16" string spacing; and gold Gotoh 510 tuners. The voice of this guitar is amazing, the tone is strong, balanced and articulate. The playability is superb with 12th fret string heights of 7/64" at the low E side and 5/64" on the high side. Despite being built in 2006, this guitar is in amazing condition and I am unable to find a single noteworthy flaw on it, but I will go with 'near mint' to be conservative. The frets show only extremely light wear. It comes in it's original Ameritage case also in extremely nice shape. When new, this guitar would have been priced over $7K. Get this near mint example for half that sum. I see a great many fine acoustics and for the money, few match the build-quality, high-end tonewoods, playability and sound of this particular R.Taylor guitar. Get yourself a great, high-end acoustic and a great value with this R.Taylor. Highly recommended!
