Description

1940 Regal Marvel Tone in excellent condition with very minimal signs of wear throughout the instrument. This guitar is in all original condition with the only major repair being a professional neck reset done here at the shop. Between 1928 and 1940, Regal Musical Instrument Co. offered five models of “Custom Built” guitars. Each of these had ebony bridges, slotted headstocks, mahogany necks and 12 frets to the body. Tone quality on this instrument can be compared to a Martin of the same period. This guitar was constructed with a spruce top, mahogany back, sides, and neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. This guitar has a scale length of 24 3/4", body width of 14", nut width of 1 7/8", string spacing of 2 15/32", thickness at the first fret of .88, thickness at the ninth fret of 1.12", and weighs 2.88 lbs exactly. This guitar comes with the original hardshell case.
