1937 Regal Playtime Deluxe burst, Very Good, Hard, $1,100.00
This Regal Playtime Deluxe is in excellent condition, the tuners have been replaced with modern open gear Grovers and the pickguard is replaced but everything else is original. Typical finish dings and scrapes but overall cosmetic presentation is very good. Solid spruce top, solid mahogany sides, veneered mahogany back. The top is ladder braced. The original lacquer finish is burst on the top, back, sides and neck. The guitar is crack free and in excellent structural condition, needs nothing. The neck has been reset and refretted and a few top braces reglued recently. A very small maple bridge plate cap has been added as well to insure that the ball ends seat well. The neck is straight and the top flat under tension of light gauge strings. The neck has a substantial V profile with a 1 3/4" nut width and 2 1/8" pin spacing. The scale is 25.4", the same as a Martin long scale. The action is set at 6/64" at the low E and 5/64" at the high E with plenty of saddle showing. The guitar plays well for fingerstyle or light pick style play with no buzz or intonation issues. If the new owner wishes to play with a heavy attack then raising the action would be in order. The guitar has a strong and balanced voice, more bottom end than most ladder braced guitars and very nice treble clarity and projection. Non original hard case included. $1100

If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned. Once an item is returned to Kovacik Guitars and judged to be in the same condition as when originally sold a full refund will be issued.
