36 Rickenbacker 360/12s were made in 1964. This model is from January of 1965 with parts like the pots being from 1964. 1965 saw a total of 480 360/12s produced. This guitar was assembled very shortly after Roger McGuinn's famous 360 12 string, and is likely one of the first bodies and necks carved as a curved top "new style" Rick.

This example sports some rare features. First, the back is double bound, but without the checkerboard binding that you see on nearly every "new style" 360/12. Also, the knobs are original non-reflectors. Lastly, the neck is slightly larger and thicker than other examples from the period.

The electronics are 100% original., as is the rest of the guitar. It was very well cared for, showing some light wear here and there and a spot of buckle rash on the back.

The guitar plays well with great action. Frets show plenty of life.

Its always awesome to find an old Ricky, especially one that shows rare, early features like this one!

Original hardshell case included.
