Summary: Fitted with 6 guitar strings, 13 sympathetic drone strings, and a buzzing Gotoh bridge, its guitar-like scale and neck couple familiar feel with the exotic tone of the traditional Indian instrument. All 3 pickups (including the sympathetic-string pickup) have independent tone and volume controls. This Rogue Electric Sitar has a new set of strings & it is one of the most popular guitars in our shop right now.

Body: Solid-body electric with a unique shape and a black & red crackle finish.

Neck: Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, dot inlays, vintage Kluson style tuning keys. The nut width is 1 11/16” and the scale length is 26 1/8”.

Pickups/Hardware: 3 pickups, 3 volume knobs, 3 tone knobs, custom buzzing Gotoh bridge, chrome hardware, 13 sympathetic drone strings

Cosmetics: This instrument has a few dings on the top of the headstock and the electronics back plate has some scratches on it. The silver foil around the edges of the secondary clear pickguard is flaking off in various places but overall this instrument is in pretty good shape. The body covering doesn’t show much wear but there are 3 small holes on the front where the original pick guard was removed.

Playability: We set this guitar up with 10’s and it sounds and plays great. The neck is straight & the action is low and the instrument plays up and down the neck with no dead spots. We did not put a new set of “sympathetic” strings on but all 13 are there.

Modifications: When we got this instrument 2 of the original tuning keys were broken so we put a new set of Fender Kluson style tuning keys on this guitar.
