Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer 1982

Here it is! What many would call the most famous drum machine of all time. The TR-808 is well known for being the driving force of the hip hop genre and many other electronic genres. It's wonderful set of analog sounds can be heard on countless records and are as popular in today's contemporary culture as ever. Of course everyone here likely already knows this.

This machine is in really lovely shape for its age and has minor yellowing to the printing and white plastics. Of course there is some scuffing around the sides and top but all the screen printing is in tact and there is no rust or chipped paint. The only notable issue is someone attempted a MIDI kit installation but was not successful. It was removed but has left some holes in the right side panel. Our in house technician put plastic covers over the 3 larger holes. This unit was just serviced and is in perfect working order. The drums all sound incredible, in particular the snare and clap on this model. 

According to the serial number this unit appears to have been produced in 1982. The serial number is 197366. Please see our detailed photos and message with any questions.
