2017 Suhr Classic Custom Surf Green, Alder, '56 Big V, SSCII, Stainless Frets, Optional Humbucker
We are big fans of work of John Suhr, particularly his custom pieces like the 2017 Classic S offered here. This superb Strat-style instrument was custom ordered by a customer who knew exactly what he was looking for and equipped his guitar well.
The specs for this beautiful S include: a two piece Alder body with a Surf Green finish and a total weight of just 7.7 pounds; a gorgeous Maple neck with a smooth, satin-finish and a '56 Big V shape with depth measurements of .880" at the first fret and .980" at the twelfth fret; a gorgeous, dark Rosewood fretboard with a 9 - 12" compound radius, a 1.650" Tusq nut and medium stainless steel frets; a Gotoh 510 two post bridge with bent saddles, steel block and chrome finish; Suhr locking tuners; and for electronics, three Suhr V70 single coils, Suhr's Silent Single Coil II (SSCII) system and traditional Strat-style controls and wiring. For even more flexibility, this guitar also comes with a separate pickguard equipped with a Suhr Thornbucker + in the bridge position so that you can switch the guitar to a SSH layout.
This guitar offers an terrific combination of modern technology and vintage features. It plays with the precision that you expect from an instrument built by John Suhr and it sounds like a vintage Strat should with lots of quack and clarity. If you are fussy about your tone and the ease with which your guitar plays, this guitar is likely to satisfy your demands. The original owner was also very careful with how he treated this fine instrument. Other than a few very light pick scuffs on the pickguard, this guitar is in near flawless condition and could almost pass for new. While orginally shipped in a gig bag, it comes to the next owner in an upgraded G&G case along with the trem arm, tools, spec sheet and the alternate pickguard equipped with a bridge humbucker.
If you are looking for a high end Strat-style instrument that plays and sounds great and comes with lots of upgrades, you would have a tough time finding a better alternative to this marvelous Suhr. Make it yours!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
