Description

Summary: This 2011 Taylor guitar is a Grand Symphony body style with a cutaway. This guitar features the Taylor Expression System electronics and it sounds and plays like a dream.

From Taylor's website: "Singer-songwriters are often drawn to our 500 Series because Mahogany yields its inspiring tone easily, with a breathy midrange and high-end sweetness that will reward individual playing. For a super lush, boldly dynamic Mahogany voice, try the 516ce."

Body: This instrument has a solid western red cedar top with mahogany back and sides. The guitar has a beautiful abalone circle around the soundhole and abalone dot inlays on the neck.

Neck: Mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, ebony Bridge and ebony bridge pins. The frets are in good shape with lots of life left.

Pickups/Hardware: Taylor Expression System / Gold tuning keys

Cosmetics: This guitar is in very good condition. There are a few very tiny dings on the top but you will have to look very hard to find them. They are too small to show up in a photograph. This guitar has no buckle rash and has been kept in excellent condition in its short lifetime.

Playability: Like most Taylor instruments, this guitar has low action and it is very easy to play. The instrument has a wonderful deep, rich tone. There are no dead spots or buzzing with this Taylor.

Weight: 4 lbs, 14 oz.

Case: Original hard shell.
