Summary: This Teisco has just been setup by our in-house guitar tech and restrung with a new set of 10s. It has one fantastic sounding gold-foil pickup, a bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard and adjustable truss rod and was most likely made in Japan in the mid-late 60s.
Body: Solid body with gloss red burst finish and topped with a mirror pickguard.
Neck: The 25.5” scale bolt on neck has a rosewood fingerboard, adjustable truss rod, pearloid dots and 1 11/16” nut width.
Pickups/Hardware: It has a single gold-foil pickup which sounds superb, chrome hardware, volume, tone, height-adjustable bridge and chrome tailpiece.
Cosmetics: There are some chips in the finish around the fingerboard, some paint chips around the edges of the body, dings in the back, pick scratches and buckle rash, scratches on the pickguard and some finish checking on the body. The end of the fingerboard by the nut has been re-glued.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. These guitars make for great slide players or an alternative guitar to add a little diversity to the rig but do not expect it to play like a custom shop Les Paul. The real magic in this guitar is that gold-foil pickup. This one plays fairly well and the frets are in good shape with very minimal wear in the lower 3 frets.
