Summary: A custom one-off build from boutique luthier Ron Thorn, this guitar is reminiscent of the Gibson BB King model, but with a smaller body. It’s a beauty and you’re never gone find another one!

Body: Curly maple laminate top, back and sides. 14.75” body width. Semi-hollow construction with no f-holes. Full length maple and spruce centerblock. Raven Black finish. White multi-ply binding on top and back.

Neck: Solid mahogany. Set neck with dovetail joint. Fat “C” neck carve. Bound ebony fretboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Custom crown inlay on first fret. Rolled fingerboard edges. 6150 nickel fret wire. 24.75” scale length. 12” fingerboard radius. 1 11/16” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: Wolfetone Dr. Vintage pickups. TonePros tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. Two volume controls, one master tone control and a vari-tone rotary switch. Kluson Deluxe tuners with pearloid buttons. Gold hardware. Dunlop dual-design strap locks. Black three-ply pickguard with beveled edge. Tusq nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition with little sign of wear. There is a small nick in the finish at the top of the headstock and some very light finish swirling. With its glossy black finish, and gold and pearl appointments, this guitar has a sophisticated, elegant look.

Playability: The neck is fat, but comfortably so, and playability is smooth up the neck with low action and no buzz or dead spots. The smaller body makes for a more manageable guitar, and the lack of f-holes means feedback is easily controlled, while there is still plenty of air and woody bite to the tone. The Wolfetone pickups provide excellent vintage humbucker tone and mojo.
