Description

Offered for your consideration is this Tom Anderson Hollow T Contoured built in 2003. Despite having been built more than two decades ago this incredibly flexible electric remains in un-played condition.

This early era TA has a chambered alder body with contours and a walnut top. It has a total weight of just 6.6 pounds and it has a Tom’s “Light Shaded Edge” finish. The maple neck has an .070” enlarged Even Taper carve giving it depth measurements of .880" at the first fret increasing to .940" at the twelfth fret. It has a dark rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius, a 1-5/8" nut and heavy frets. The electronics include SA1 single coils in the neck and middle positions, a TD3 single coil in the bridge position, along with a five-way switch, master volume, master tone and push/pull on the tone control to add the bridge pickup. It has a hardtail bridge with six adjustable steel saddles.

This thing rings like a bell and plays like proverbial "butta." The smooth satin-finished neck feels great. It sounds superb too; just check out the brief sound sample provided. The light weight makes this a guitar you can play all night long without fatigue. The electronics on this guitar make it extremely flexible tone-wise. It is like having a Strat and a Tele in one guitar. Upon its completion, the folks at Tom Anderson were so impressed with this instrument that it was designated their “Guitar of the Week”.

This guitar is in near mint condition with no flaws of any significance and it could easily pass for new. It comes in its original black tolex case, also in superb condition, along with the spec sheet, fret protector and adjustment wrench. Replacing this guitar at current prices would run approximately $6K. Get this “as new” 2003 example for half that sum.

If you want a top quality electric in as new condition that can do it all, this beautiful TA may be the instrument for you. Make it yours!
