This bass looks like a parts conglomerate at first glance, but a deeper dive reveals that it is likely an early Schecter build.
Schecter started out building bodies, necks and parts. This bass has all the hallmarks of this early effort. The pots date to 1981.
It appears that the bass wasn't used all that much. The frets are in excellent shape. The rest of the bass is as well.
Because we always check truss rods, we noticed that there is no truss rod nut at the end of the neck where you typically adjust it. The neck relief is good, so I don't see this being an issue. I'm not certain whether the truss rod broke off or not. There looks to be some threads there, but this will be an as-is sale in case I'm wrong. Again, the bass plays really well and the neck doesn't need adjustment currently, and we've had it for almost a year.
No case. Don't worry, we know how to ship it safely!
