~1980 Yamaha SA2000 Burgundy with case

Summary: This awesome Yamaha was built in Japan & it sounds and plays great. This 335 style guitar has a fully bound top & back, an ebony fingerboard with beautiful pearloid inlays, great gold hardware & tuning keys & it comes with the original hardshell case.

Body: Semi-hollow 335 style. The lower bout is 16” wide & the upper bout is 11.5” wide.

Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, split block abalone pearl inlays, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, Yamaha Japan Schaller style tuning keys

Pickups/Hardware: Gold hardware, Yamaha Japan Schaller style tuning keys, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, tune-o-matic bridge & stop tailpiece. This guitar has 2 original humbucker pickups with gold covers.

Cosmetics: This instrument shows wear consistent with a well-loved guitar from the late 1970’s or early 1980’s. There are pick scratches on the pickguard, buckle rash on the back & various nicks and dings on the body. There is a small chip on the back edge of the headstock & some notable wear around the edges of the headstock but structurally this baby is in great shape.

Playability: This old Yamaha plays & sounds great! We set it up with a new set of 10’s and the action is low & the guitar plays easily up & down the fingerboard. The big jumbo frets are in great shape & have a ton of life left in them.
