Description

Offered for sale is this fabulous Model Ninety built by Zion Guitar Technology of North Carolina in 2005. If you are a fine of high end Thinline Tele-style guitars as I am, this Zion should be of interest to you!

This guitar has a semi-hollow, contoured Alder body with an AAAA-grade Quilted Maple top with scraped top binding and a Rootbeer Burst gloss finish. It has a one piece Maple neck with a comfortable C-shape and depth measurements of .82" at the 1st fret and .92" at the 12th fret. It has a lovely Rosewood fretboard with a 12" radius, medium/jumbo fret wire and a 1.650" Tusq nut. It has a modern Tele-style, six saddle bridge and Sperzel locking tuners. The electronics include Don Grosh GT single coil pickups, master volume, master tone and a three-way switch. It has a total weight of just 6.75 pounds.

This is only the second Zion instrument that I have invested in. The first was so good that I jumped on this beauty. I was not disappointed, as this guitar is amazing, just like the first! It is an extremely high quality instrument that has been assembled with great care using very high quality materials. It has the feel and vibe of something along the lines of a guitar built by Tom Anderson, John Suhr or perhaps Don Grosh. It plays like butter and it sounds fantastic; please check out the brief sound sample provided herein.

Despite it's age, this guitar is in near new condition. It has obviously seen very little play and the frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's original Zion-branded case, also in great shape, along with the tools and paperwork.

I've always been a huge fan of thinline-style guitars and this Zion can compete with the best that I have played. A new Zion Ninety like this currently goes for nearly $6K! Get yourself a very cool and high quality Tele-style instrument at a great price. Highly recommended indeed!
