1963 Fender Jazz Bass. This bass features a rare Ash body, used by Fender exclusively on Custom Color Blonde finished guitars. This bass features a body refinish in translucent blonde by Fiesta Finishes™ redone in its original color. The neck finish is original, but mostly worn off, with no finish remaining on the back of the neck, and little finish remaining on the head stock. The decal is a replacement, and the frets have been replaced with larger frets. The feel of the neck is fantastic with the good frets and smooth wood.

Other than the above mentioned changes on the body and neck, the rest of the bass is original, other than perhaps a few screws. Electronics are all original, including pickups, pots, and tone cap. All plastic parts are original other than the tone knob, which is a replacement.

The serial number is 90XXX. The bass weighs 9.2 lbs. The original pickups measure 8.2K Ohms at the neck and 8.1K Ohms at the bridge. Pot codes are 304 6320. The neck measures .771" at 1st fret and 1.01" at 12th fret.

The bass ships in its original white Tolex, orange lined case. The case is in good condition.

This is an amazing sounding, rare, Ash bodied Jazz bass. The bass is currently set up with flat wound strings.

Satisfaction guaranteed. Keep the guitar for 48 hours, and if not fully satisfied, return for a full refund minus shipping charge.
