Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Produced in mid '66, this amp is an excellent example of one of Fender's most coveted circuits, with a sweet and versatile range of tones, voiced by the original 10" Fender-labeled Jensen speaker. The perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, the Princeton Reverb is a Fender amp that delivers both well balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds.

The chassis itself is very clean with original transformers that all have clear date codes from 1966. The circuit is 100% original and untouched aside from new bypass caps and a new main filter cap cap, with otherwise original solder joints, CTS and Stackpole pots and the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps which are an essential part of the Blackface tone. The power cable has been upgraded to the modern three-prong variety to ensure a reliable ground for the amplifier. The power tubes are a pair of newer JJ 6V6 valves, while the preamp tubes include vintage Mullard, RCA, and Fender branded tubes, along with a new JJ 12AT7 Reverb driver. The faceplate shows almost no wear and retains all of the original black skirted knobs. While the reverb cables are the original braided RCAs, the tank itself is a new Accutronics tank that matches original Fender specs and sounds great, with plenty of depth and splash.

The speaker is the original Jensen C10N, with a clean frame and round Fender foil label on the magnet. The speaker retains the original cloth wires as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender "F" cap. The tube chart is completely intact on the inside of the cab, touting the AA764 circuit and "PF" date stamp which translates to June of 1966. As the photos show, the original black tolex is extremely clean, with only a few very minor nicks and scuffs on the edges. The tolex on the bottom of the cabinet is nearly flawless and the original nickel feet are present as well. Both back panels are original.

This vintage Blackface Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use!

The amp comes complete with the original two-button footswitch as well as a modern padded cover.
