Description

2004 Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 1959 Reissue that was owned and played by Doyle Bramhall II. This was acquired from a reputable store in the US who received this guitar in trade from Mr. Bramhall a few years back. The guitar was originally strung righty with the correct bridge orientation but has been converted to a true lefty with the bridge being set to lefty as well. The guitar has one master volume and one master tone control connected to both pickups which works flawlessly leaving the other control channels empty. The pickups appear to be from Gibson and custom wound for Mr. Bramhall. The guitar has a big fat '59 neck profile and slim, but very tall frets and plays easily up and down the neck. One little dent to the upper horn of the headstock, and a little bubble on the wood on the upper bass horn on the back of the body. The guitar has been played so there are minimal signs of usage but all in all, the guitar is in excellent condition. The guitar comes with the period correct case with Doyle's name written on masking tape on it. There is also a card that was inside the case pocket when it was bought that says, "This Guitar Has Been On Stage With Eric Clapton". The guitar has a fabulous feel especially if you like fat necks. A rare opportunity to own a celebrity instrument that is a great player as well...
