1922 Gibson F-4 Mandolin EXC- A great sounding easy playing old Loar period F-4. Dark sunburst top and a beautiful flamey sunbust back. This mandolin has been well cared for over the past century but also played (maybe because it sounds so good) and thus has the typical "honest" (not crooked) play wear on the scroll and peghead etc. But no cracks or breaks or separations or funny business. It's all original from the tailpiece to the tuning pegs with the possible exception of the adjustable bridge which looks like the proper vintage but I don't see the stamp on it. The label is pretty hard to read but the Serial number is #70525. The original hard shell case is in pretty good shape and like the truss rod cover on the headstock, it is named "Jody".
Please go to my website to see lots more pictures of this F-4. It's at www.vintageinstruments.com ... thanks
