Description

707 is faint stamp on neck block. X-braced by an excellent Southern luthier and brought back to excellent, beautiful looking and wonderful playing condition with a new two-tone cream and grey 50's case to boot. This is the special 1932 ( Gibsons worst economic depression year) "zipper" black and white checker sound hole model. Perhaps the (one year only ) checkerboard sound hole binding detail was an attempt to boost sales in a non-existent market. A great little guitar only recently Recognized for its light, compact but lyrical voicing.
