Description

(Serial No. 112168) Excellent condition. This is what a good bluegrass guitar is all about. Has a Sitka spruce top and nice straight grain Brazilian rosewood back and sides. The figure in the sides is spectacular. The only crack repair I see is the usual repaired pickguard crack. Finish is original and shows the usual nicks and dings and some buckle wear on the back. Tuners are late 1950's Klusons, which are an exact replacement for the originals. One tuner shaft is slightly bent but it works fine. This guitar has all the power and tone you expect from an old Martin. The action is nice and low as luthier Harry Eibert just reset the neck, dressed the frets and made a new exact replica ebony bridge. This guitar has that well-known Martin "boom" that is ideal for bluegrass. Very powerful bluegrass sound. Comes with a newer hard shell case.
