Description

This is a fantastic example of a 1953 Tadeo Gomez built Telecaster. Guitar comes complete with the original thermometer case & some serious history of rock & roll. Serial number 3414.

Previously owned by Jim Peterik from the band Survivor. This very well could be the guitar he wrote Eye of the Tiger on. Jim purchased the guitar from Normans Rare Guitars & passed it on to us through The Chicago Music Exchange about ten years ago. It's been case kept & babied the last ten years & we're ready to pass her on to a new home.

The control panel has been slightly widened around the pots. Both Jim Peterik & Scott from Chicago Music Exchange believe this is original from the factory. As Fender guitars were all hand built back then, crude work is often discovered. Perhaps Tadeo Gomez did this himself for ease of getting the control plate on & off when he was working on the guitar. It is impossible to know for certain but it looks old, original work.
