This is a very early example of the prehistoric flame tops that Gibson was making in the early days before they had COA or the historic label on the case, but it was made so much nicer and more realistic than any of the newer ones that I've seen and the flame is outstanding great color. This guitar absolutely sings. Pickguard is in the case. They don't make them like this anymore. In my opinion, these were all hand carved tops and I believe this one is Brazilian, but I'm not 100% sure I do welcome trades and I'm currently looking for an L5 preferably the C model feel free to give me a call with any questions, thank you, Jerry
