Description

A real-deal 1957 J-185 in Natural finish. Gibson made a total of 918 of these guitars and most were sunburst, so this a a rare beast! Nice maple back and sides and factory Maltese Cross bridge wing inlays. Pretty Brazilian rosewood fret board and upper belly bridge. Repaired crack at soundhole on treble side of fretboard. Small center seam separation has been repaired. Assorted chips, dents and lacquer checks. Original bridge plate and replaced strap knob in butt. With well-worn period-correct Lifton hardshell case.
